know your camera

I own a Cannon powershot SD1200. it has 10.0 megapixals 4x optical zoom and 16x digital zoom. Some things that i learned about it is that it is easy to use but takes a good enough pitcure. Optical zoom doesnt distort as much as digital zoom. The camera can change the lighting by a great ammount. Shutter speed blurs the photo. Flash makes things look flatter. In display mode it can show me the light sources. Image stablizers dont work as well as they are hyped up to be. macro works well for upclose images. infinity setting works well for long range/ landscapes. and portrait works well for taking pictures of people. What format of pictures does it take? How can one make objects seem more normal? How can one get sun spots out of the image?

  1. You may have multiple options for formatting--Go with jpeg for our class. They won't take much room. Not sure what you mean by more normal. Sun spots--generally, you should avoid shooting into the sun. That will help, but another option is using your hand to protect/shade your lens from the camera. Good question...watch for a link on my blog in the near future for more tips on that. I hope you feel better.
